So you have been on the hunt for however long. You're not sure how much longer you are going to be out of work. You have applied and gone on interviews for almost every job in your industry known to man. So, what's next?
I am in the same boat. I am feeling a kinda dink on the head saying that this isn't for me anymore. I was racking my head one night and asking my friends about what they think I should do. Then, one person said to put down a list of things that I would ENJOY doing. Not something that I should do, but what would I WANT to do. All of a sudden it hit me. I have been in recruiting for 10 years. Why not apply what I have learned in the last 10 years to what I want to do now.
So, I sat down and came up with a list of things that would get me going in the morning. What would be my criteria in selecting my next position. One good thing about unemployment is that it humbles you financially. Now, money wasn't the biggest driving factor. What do I like doing? I love the outdoors....maybe I can use that. I enjoy helping people.....maybe I can use that. I want to continue to learn.....maybe I can use that.
Now you want to sit down and put them in order from most important to least.
So, what are you going to do?
